Government of Niue - Accounting System

Although Niue's economy is dependent on substantial development assistance from New Zealand, the Niue government is committed to increasing the country's economic self-reliance.

The Finance Secretary to the Niue Government needed a Budgeting system that would enable him to prepare and budget reports to Cabinet. We provided an Excel-based system which enabled him to:

• Enter budget details in a familiar environment, enhanced with some custom lookup functions;
• See updated summary reports and analyses updated on the fly;
• Automatically generate graphs and charts for presentation to cabinet.

The big win for the customer was being able to improve his ability to manage finances. Another big win was being able to impress cabinet with professionally presented reports with very little effort.
